Application-Based NIL Decision Support for Michigan Parents

MiNIL Parent Advisory Sessions

When NIL becomes real, it stops feeling “simple” fast.

A local sponsor reaches out. Your child gets a DM. A deal is proposed casually. Expectations shift. You feel pressure to respond quickly. Your student-athlete is excited. You’re trying to support them—while also protecting eligibility, reputation, and long-term options.

MiNIL Parent Advisory Sessions exist for one reason:
To help parents slow things down, identify risks, and make calm decisions when NIL situations become specific and time-sensitive.

This is not coaching. This is not hype. This is not legal advice.
This is structured, parent-first decision support built for Michigan high school NIL.

Who This Is For

This is for parents who are actively facing a real NIL situation, such as:

If NIL is still hypothetical for your family, start with the foundational resource first:

MiNIL Parent Handbook + Toolkit (P1) — the required prerequisite for advisory sessions.

Prerequisite: You Must Own and Review P1 Before Advisory Sessions

MiNIL Parent Advisory Sessions are designed to build on:

MiNIL Parent Handbook + Toolkit (P1) (Required)

P1 gives parents the rules, checklists, red flags, and documentation templates.
The Advisor / Consultant assumes you already have that foundation and will reference it during advisory support.

The P1 toolkit templates are used in advisory sessions:

If you have not purchased P1 yet, advisory sessions are not available.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Advisory sessions are educational and decision-support focused. MiNIL does not provide legal advice or contract review.

Why is P1 required?

Because advisory sessions build on the MiNIL Parent Handbook + Toolkit and rely on the P1 documentation templates. P1 creates a shared foundation so advisory time is used responsibly.

Do I need P2 as well?

P2 is not required, but it is strongly recommended for parents who want scenario-based readiness and live Q&A before advisory support.

How fast will I hear back after applying?

Applications are typically reviewed within 1–2 business days. Urgent situations should be clearly marked in the application.

Will you tell me what to do?

MiNIL advisory sessions help parents understand options, risks, and next steps. The final decision always remains with the family.

What if we only need a small amount of help?

The initial engagement is a two-hour minimum because most NIL situations involve multiple moving parts: communication, documentation, expectations, and risk. After the first two hours, time is billed hour-by-hour only if needed.

Can you talk to the sponsor for us?

No. MiNIL does not communicate with sponsors or negotiate on behalf of families.

What if something already happened?

That is a common reason parents apply. The goal is to get organized, identify risk, and help you determine the most responsible next steps.

Calm Decisions Beat Fast Decisions

NIL situations feel simple until they aren’t.

If your family is facing a real NIL situation and you want structured, parent-first decision support—apply above.
